Stories & Highlights

Wesley Lakes Excellence

At our school, we believe that "Every day is a great day to learn something new." With inspiring teachers, engaging lessons, and a warm, supportive environment, we empower every student to explore, grow, and reach their full potential. From creative problem-solving to building lifelong friendships, each day is an opportunity to discover something exciting and meaningful. Join us on this journey of curiosity, achievement, and joy in learning!

This spring, our 3rd-5th grade students with disabilities achieved outstanding growth on the Georgia Milestones assessment, meeting their improvement target in English Language Arts and proving that with the right support, every student can excel.

Our students achieved great success on the AMIRA reading assessments, meeting or surpassing the district's average growth benchmarks across kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grades.

The Fall MAP data highlights impressive achievements, with our 3rd grade students meeting their expected growth targets in mathematics and our 4th grade students meeting their expected growth targets in reading.

Our school offers a diverse array of enriching extracurricular opportunities, including chorus, percussion ensemble, cheerleading, basketball, Junior Beta Club, robotics, and the distinguished Student Ambassadors program.

Three of our talented students have had their artwork selected for display in the Superintendent's Art Gallery, located at the Henry County Board of Education building.

Congratulations to our Teacher of the Year, Latrayion Walker, who inspires young minds every day in the classroom and goes above and beyond by dedicating her time to tutoring students and helping them reach their full potential!
