Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year!

Hello, I’m Kenyatta Bush. This year, I’m excited to rejoin the 4th grade team at Wesley Lakes Elementary. While I spent last year teaching 5th grade, I’m excited to return and continue making a positive impact on our 4th-grade students. This marks my 4th year at Wesley Lakes, and I’m looking forward to another fantastic year of growth and learning together! I am a native of Henry County, in fact, my family can trace its history back to the mid 1800s in Henry County. I am a proud graduate of Henry County High School (now McDonough High School) and Georgia State University. My wife and I are both educators, and we have two sons and a Boston Terrier named Belle. I am a firm believer that all students can be academically successful. My mentor, Asa G. Hilliard, III, who I try to model my teaching after, once said, "I have never encountered any children in any group who are not geniuses. There is no mystery on how to teach them. The first thing you do is treat them like human beings and the second thing you do is love them."
